Welcome to one distance library student’s caravan journey to the library and information science profession, the Expat Librarian….  Hi, I’m Nancy, a Yank living overseas on the Arabian Peninsula in the enchanting nation of Oman, and a library student of the University of Arizona….  I am here in WordPress to explore ideas and concepts in technology, the library, and the information future, as a front row participant to rapid change.  So hang on to your camel stick and let’s go….

As Dean of Library and Learning Resources at Zayed University (ZU) I congratulate the ILN planning committee and the many ZU staff who helped in numerous hidden ways to bring the first Information Literacy Network Conference to fruition. I cheer the registrants for their wholehearted participation. Mubarak to all!

    Hi Nancy

I am writing the new edition of the Time Out Muscat Guide and wondered if you would be interested in doing a very short interview for the books section. Drop me an email if you are interested in talking about the advances in libraries and literature in Oman

Hi Nancy, my name is Johan Mathew and I’m a PhD student in history, looking to do some archival research in Oman. Do you happen to know if there are any national archives or research libraries where I might find documents from the early 20th Century? or at least people I can contact to help me find stuff? Thanks,

    Johan Mathew
